Here are a few links to the web sites of the benefits providers that are included in MariPlan 2003.

HealthSelect

HealthSelect (administered by Maricopa County's own Integrated Health System) is being retained as one of Maricopa County's two health insurance providers. HealthSelect offers Health Maintenance Organization coverage for County employees and their dependents. HealthSelect's coverage remains largely similar to last year's plan, although there are some co-pay and coverage changes anticipated for 2003. For "the rest of the story" and more information on these changes, please see "What's New".

CIGNA HealthCare

CIGNA HealthCare is being retained as one of Maricopa County's two health insurance providers. There are some changes that will affect CIGNA plan members, however. Begining January 1, 2003, Walgreens Health Initiatives ("WHI") will administer the prescription program previously covered under CIGNA's programs. Also, United Behavioral Health ("UBI") will cover the behavioral health services previously provided through CIGNA's MCC subsidiary.  Additional changes include the inclusion of CIGNA's PPO coverage (replacing the "Prime Option Plus" point of service plan offered last year) and a number of modifications to patient co-pay.  For "the rest of the story" and more information on these changes, please see "What's New".

Walgreens Health Initiatives

Begining January 1, 2003, Walgreens Health Initiatives ("WHI") will administer Prescription coverage under Maricopa County's new self-funded prescription program for those employees who chose CIGNA health insurance coverage. WHI's network includes a wide variety of pharmacies, including Albertsons, Bashas, Fry’s, K-Mart, Osco, Safeway, Target, Wal-mart, and, of course, Walgreens. This new program represents the biggest plan design change in Maricopa County's benefits program for 2003. For "the rest of the story" and more information on these changes, please see "What's New".

United Behavioral Health

Begining January 1, 2003, United Behavioral Health ("UBH") will begin providing behavioral health coverage for  those employees who chose CIGNA health insurance coverage. For "the rest of the story" and more information on these changes, please see "What's New".

Avesis Vision

Avesis vision coverage will continue as the vision program under both HealthSelect and CIGNA coverages. There are no benefits changes for 2003. For "the rest of the story" and more information on these changes, please see "What's New".

United Concordia Dental

United Concordia will remain on of Maricopa County's two dental insurance programs. There are no benefits changes for 2003. For "the rest of the story" and more information on these changes, please see "What's New".

EDS Dental

Likewise, EDS dental insurance will remain part of Maricopa County's package. There are no benefits changes for 2003. For "the rest of the story" and more information on these changes, please see "What's New".
